LamentAs i look into the river depressed and sad
i gazed at my reflection and pictured u there
how i longed to see your vivacious smile
and hear the gleeful laughter you bestow
Oh priestess of my heart, where art thou?
i need you like the trees needs the sun
i'd endeavour through hell to see you smile
but woe to me because now you're gone.
I see you clearly right beside me
happy and shocked i tried to hug thee
but you disappeared into the air
nothing was left not even a hair
Lamenting your absence i started to drink
alcohol was the substance to forget everything
though only for a short period of time
but enough to help me live and survive
Hear me oh goddess of my soul
come back and fill my heart again
please hear my cry of love thats lost
and let me embrace thee one more time
The wisest of men once told me
only the fools rush in
but i cant help this feeling
of loving you at first sight
the tenderness of your smile
encaged me into your hands
your beautiful melodious vocals
mesmerised me whole
as i sit alone by my river
i stopped to think of thee
being sad has never helped me
