The immortal
He sat beside his dying love battling against time
He heard her soft small whisper calling out his name
She slowly closed her eyes and panic possessed his mind
He never thought he would go through such agonizing pain
What myopic demon possessed him at that place?
Where he asked for immortality, life without a phase
He didn’t foresee what the consequences were
He didn’t know his life would be a blur.
Living for a thousand years of untold agony
Watching all his loved ones perish
He stabbed himself a hundred times too many
But he still lived, he didn’t vanish.
He longed to be rid of this Godless curse
To be free and satisfy his undying thirst
But the stars stared down and mocked at him
Laughing at his a life without a fin
Every town he stepped into chased him away
Because of his unaging features that stay
Immortality what a foolish wish it be
If only quote he that I could see.
How long more will he walk this Earth?

He prays for his time to be up
From the living he wishes to depart
Woe to him the miserable immortal
To whom everyone’s hostile
Undying unaging unliving being
Life forever never has a meaning.
